What sets it aside is that it’s also an “earth-sheltered house”, which means it uses its natural surroundings as walls for temperature and to reduce heat loss. According to Business Insider, the house also comes with a high-tech sensor system helps guests monitor each room’s climate and lighting. If you think that’s one burner stove too many, it will make more sense once you learn that the billionaire’s home has a 2,300-square-foot reception hall that can accommodate up to 200 people. To list some of the most conventional ones first, Gates’ house has 7 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms (yes, you read that right, that amounts to more than three bathrooms for each bedroom suite), and an impressive total of 6 kitchens. Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Bill Gates lives in a 66,000-square-foot mansion built into a hillside overlooking Lake Washington in Medina — a small city on the opposite shore from Seattle. According to the King County public assessor's office, the property is worth $127.48 million as of this year.

Inside Bill Gates' real estate portfolio, from a Seattle mansion to houses at some of the US's most exclusive clubs

From the sand that is imported yearly for the beach from the Caribbean islands to the 6-meter-high trampoline room, the luxurious house was constructed at a cost of $63 million and took 7 years to be built. Gates and then-wife Melinda purchased their fourth San Diego property, this 5,800-square-foot beach house, for $43 million in Del Mar, California, in 2020. Known as Xanadu 2.0 — a name inspired by "Citizen Kane" — Gates' home base is Medina, Washington, a wealthy suburb of Seattle that's home to many tech titans. Gates owns at least 12 parcels of land there, totaling about 10.5 acres. Over three decades, he and his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, spent more than $150 million on their current real estate portfolio.

That buys access to the club's 15,200 acres, more than 100 ski trails, 18-hole golf course, and spa. In 1999, he purchased a $12.5 million home on the grounds of Indian Wells' exclusive Vintage Club, known for its Tom Fazio-designed golf courses. "We won't have that house forever," she told The New York Times in 2019. "I'm actually really looking forward to the day that Bill and I live in a 1,500-square-foot house." It was also built to be energy-efficient and technologically advanced, with a heating and cooling system that automatically adjusts to guests' liking and lights that turn on and off automatically as people go from room to room. It had “enough software and high-tech displays to make a newlywed feel as though she were living inside a video game,” Melinda added.

It has a private tunnel entrance

Gates' highest property tax bill is in Washington state, where he has a 10.5-acre property in the tony Seattle suburb of Medina along Lake Washington. He spent $34 million buying the 12 parcels of and around his mansion, known as Xanadu 2.0, and together, they have an assessed value of $183.5 million. Last year, the property taxes on the properties added up to $1.3 million. The taxes on the largest of the parcels — 5.15 acres on the water — will exceed $1 million this year. Last year, the homes owned by Gates and his former wife, Melinda French Gates, racked up a $2.7 million property tax bill last year. That's more than 700 times as much as the average American pays in property taxes each year.

Enhancing its allure, the library features two hidden bookcases and a discreet bar, weaving an element of mystery into this scholarly retreat. With six kitchens scattered throughout, the mansion is well-prepared to host gatherings of any size, from intimate dinners to grand banquets. This expansive parking area complements the estate’s lavish scale, providing generous vehicle space for both the family and visitors during events. A private tunnel was constructed to provide access to the compound from Highway 106.

Its assessed market value is $29.4 million — up from $5.8 million in the 2009 county record. Like some of the other properties in the Gates portfolio, the Del Mar Country Club house was transferred "due to the dissolution of a marriage" in 2021 — the same year Bill and Melinda divorced — according to property records. It is likely now solely owned by one of the two Gates, though it isn't evident which one. Gates amassed a small real estate empire in San Diego County, and it started with a property in Rancho Santa Fe.

The complex also features a 6o-foot long swimming pool that boasts an underwater music system with a glass wall and great views of the lake and city. Its sand is not native to Washington and was imported from the Caribbean and completes an eccentric water experience for this family and guests. The primary residence has seven bedrooms and 18.75 baths, according to public filings, and there's reportedly a 20-car garage for his Porsche collection.

Phoebe was born in 2002, and not much is publicly known about her as her parents have kept her life private. Bill and Melinda Gates have made a conscious effort to keep their children out of the public eye, and have stated that they want their children to have as normal a childhood as possible. The couple, worth an estimated $124 billion according to Forbes, announced their split in a joint statement posted to their social media profiles on Monday. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, of which they are co-chairs, said that nothing will change in its organizational structure.

Moreover, there are also speakers hidden behind the wallpaper, which means music can follow visitors as they move from one room to the next. In fact, visitors and guests of Gates’ mansion are given devices (worth an extra $150,000) to pick and choose their favorite paintings or photographs to display. In addition to these lavish amenities, Xanadu 2.0 boasts an array of high-tech features that elevate it to new heights of modern living. But their 66,000-square-foot home on the shore of Lake Washington is another matter.

The mansion features an extensive library that houses enough entertainment away from the screens. Apart from two secret bookcases in the library, the room also stores a 16th-century Leonardo-da-Vinci manuscript called Codex Leicester, believed to have cost Bill Gates a whopping $30.8 million. The house's entrance is through a private tunnel constructed in 2006.

The Microsoft co-founder even included a walkthrough of the lakefront property on the CD-ROM included with his 1995 book The Road Ahead. Bill Gates is among the longest-reigning holders of the title “world's richest man.” The billionaire founded the tech empire Microsoft Corp., which propelled him to his 12-figure net worth. And as many would expect from someone who founded one of the largest tech companies in existence, he spared no expense in building his own home. To that end she hired the interior designer Thierry Despont, who has been the creative mind behind the restoration of famous interiors like those of the Palm Court at the Plaza Hotel in New York and the Ritz in Paris.

Following their 2021 divorce, a number of the properties were transferred from one trust to another — so it's hard to discern who owns exactly what, as all of their trusts are linked to the same Seattle bank. Another unique feature is a massive 2,500-square-foot fitness facility that has a trampoline room with a 20-foot ceiling (which tells you quite a bit about the billionaire’s favorite way to blow off some steam). It also has a sauna, steam room, and separate men’s and women’s locker rooms. In 2013, Gates purchased an $8.7 million equestrian estate in Wellington, Florida, featuring a showjumping area and a 20-stall barn.

While the construction team may have installed this for Bill and Melinda Gates' then young children, it remains one of the most exciting features. A 40-year-old maple tree, Bill Gates's favorite, is under constant surveillance. An entire building, with a total area of 3,900 square feet, was constructed to encompass the 60-foot-long pool. There is a glass wall that one could swim under to reach the terrace outside.

He described his vision of a smarthome where guests would be given badges that would communicate with sensors around the house. As the guests moved through the rooms, lights would dim or brighten, music would play and the temperature would automatically adjust to their preference. Among its luxurious amenities is a 60-foot swimming pool equipped with an underwater music system, allowing for a unique aquatic listening experience.

It's part of Gates Nassar's Evergate Stables, a collection of training facilities she and her husband, Nayel Nassar, run throughout the country and in Belgium. Like the Gates' first home in San Diego county in Rancho Santa Fe — all of 15 minutes away — this one sits on the grounds of a country club. The Santaluz Club features Rees Jones-designed golf course, hiking, and a spa. Renowned for its advanced technology, Xanadu 2.0 features a central computer that controls home automation, adjusting lighting, temperature, and music when a guest enters a room.

Solar Photovoltaic System Design Basics Department of Energy

solar panel design

This means that with six to eight hours of uninterrupted sunlight, each panel could generate between 1,500 and 3,200 Watt-hours of electricity. In general, a solar panel system’s ability is stated in terms of average power production. Depending on your family’s energy use, you may need a system that generates more or less electrical power. Ensure that your system will generate enough electricity during the day and, if desired, enough power storage to get you through the night. As the maker of the highest-power residential solar panels among reviewed manufacturers, Canadian Solar is more than just another panel maker. One of the company’s many solar panel models can generate up to 705 watts of power.

Awesome New Technologies from Solar Power International 2018

A recent report by the U.S. government found that large installers are $2,000 to $5,000 more expensive than small solar companies. If you have offers from some of the big installers in solar, make sure you compare those bids with quotes from local installers to ensure you don't overpay for solar. Anker SOLIX has announced the commercial launch of the Anker SOLIX X1 Home Energy Storage System across North America. The X1 home backup power system using LFP chemistry features a stackable and compact modular battery design, wide temperature range performance and an innovative energy optimizer. This combination aims to redefine residential backup power, offering significant cost savings and increased energy independence. Utilizing solar software can improve client confidence, increase productivity, and remain at the forefront of innovation for businesses.

Section 4: The Benefits of Photovoltaic Systems

Solar panels, known as solar photovoltaic systems, capture energy from the sun and play a big role in our efforts to use cleaner energy. Below are some of the options available for using solar energy at home; check with local installers and your utility for programs available in your area. Several mapping services and tools are available to help you determine your home’s solar energy potential. Some of the services also offer information on the estimated system size, potential costs and savings, and local contractors. Optimized string inverters are best for homeowners with some roof shading who don't want to pay a premium for microinverters. Optimized string inverters compromise between string inverters and microinverters, offering panel-level optimization at a slightly lower price tag.

Solar co-ops and Solarize campaigns can also help you start the process of going solar. Ultimately, as the number of residents who participate in the program increase, the cost of the installations will decrease. Location and building orientation are significant aspects that must be considered when choosing a solar rooftop design. Next, it is necessary to assess the roof structure's ability to handle the weight of the solar panels and related machinery.

Work with Your Installer and Utility

The effectiveness of the solar panels may be impacted by shadows cast by nearby structures or trees. Depending on the size of the system, a rooftop solar system can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $50,000 or more on average. However, this expense can eventually be recovered by lowering energy costs, government subsidies, and tax breaks.

That’s why some big proponents, including the California Energy Commission, encourage builders to include some west-facing solar panels in their developments. Additionally, there is evidence homes with solar panels sell faster than those without. In 2008, California homes with energy efficient features and PV were found to sell faster than homes that consume more energy. Black, blue, and silver are just a few of the hues and finishes available for solar panels.

There can be up to five hours of less sunlight per day in December in my location compared to June. That's five hours less electricity generated, but it's also five hours more spent drawing power from batteries, which -- once again -- have five hours less to charge. While providing me 100% energy independence for my off-grid home, solar panels demystified the enigma of electricity for me and increased my understanding of the movements of the Earth itself. Solar panels produce the most power when oriented directly toward the sun. Depending on your earthly location, the optimal angle of approaching sunlight varies.

Measuring Home Energy Use

As a result, you get more leads to convert because they are emotionally involved in their solar solution and believe that it will succeed. First off, the software makes the sometimes arduous work of designing solar systems simpler with user-friendly interfaces and automated functionality. Designers can create more accurate and customized solar solutions with ease by adjusting various factors, evaluating various circumstances, and getting the most out of the layout. This lowers the possibility of mistakes and guarantees that the finished design complies with the client's particular needs and preferences. These solutions assist in satisfying consumer needs for ecologically responsible solutions by simplifying system design and producing aesthetically pleasing fixes.

Similar to microinverters, power optimizers operate at the individual panel level. As with any significant investment, you'll want your solar panels to last. Most solar panels have a lifespan of about 25 to 30 years, but the best way to guarantee your panels will continue to perform well for a long time is to select a model with a great warranty. In most cases, you'll spend less and produce more energy if you choose solar panels over solar shingles, but ultimately, you should select the best setup for you.

In the past few decades the requirements for solar designs has greatly increased — today, most jurisdictions require full blueprints and, particularly for commercial projects, engineering stamps. Automatic population of the rooftop using an irradiance map and shading analysis optimum placement of the solar panels, so you can deliver the best possible layout to your customer. PV arrays must be mounted on a stable, durable structure that can support the array and withstand wind, rain, hail, and corrosion over decades. These structures tilt the PV array at a fixed angle determined by the local latitude, orientation of the structure, and electrical load requirements.

Use appropriately sized cables to minimize voltage drop and power losses. When sales teams stress the environmental advantages of solar energy and match their language with sustainability ideals, they gain the trust of consumers who care about our planet. Making the switch to solar energy frequently depends on having a thorough grasp of the costs and possible ROI. The program generates a detailed picture of the anticipated energy output and return on investment (ROI) by precisely calculating these statistics. This degree of precision raises the solar solution's legitimacy and gives clients clear, data-driven insights to help them make wise decisions. Solar design software makes the complex details of panel orientation easier to understand and produces eye-catching graphics for sales presentations.

The process of how solar installers design a solar energy system is often a mystery for most consumers. Because of this, we would like to give you some insight into how solar installers design a solar power system for your home or business. Solar system design takes into account two important factors – the amount of space that you have available for installing solar panels and the amount of electricity you consume annually. Other factors, like shading analysis and the efficiency of solar panels and inverters, also come into play, depending on your property.

Most households need an 11 kW system to fully cover their electricity usage. In 2024, an average 11 kW solar panel system costs $22,022 upfront including installation costs and the federal solar tax credit (more on that later). This is a hefty price tag, but when you consider how much you otherwise would've spent on electricity, it's easy to understand why millions of homeowners have gone solar.

Conversely, software uses sophisticated algorithms to measure important factors, including the size of the roof, the amount of accessible space, and shade patterns. By optimizing energy output and overall efficiency, you give clients a customized project with features that are distinct to the installation site, all thanks to the precision of the measurements. You can confidently promise them increased energy output and cost savings, which are attractive selling features. Sales teams more effectively convey to potential clients the long-term financial advantages of purchasing a solar energy system by giving them straightforward visuals and data-supported guarantees.

While around 90% of solar panels currently on the market are made out of silicon, adding a new material may soon make existing module design... Homeowners demand a lot from the solar panels they select for their rooftop system. These panels need to look good and perform well over multiple decades! The best time to own solar panels is when you receive an electricity bill for zero dollars.

Del Mar Country Club home, San Diego

The estate is enclosed by an iron fence that is entered through a gateway with a giant letter "K" above it. Central to the estate is Xanadu proper, the castle-like mansion that served as Kane's home and repository for his enormous collection of antiquities and objets d'art. Xanadu has a butler and at least a few dozen footmen and maidservants, who are shown at the end of the scene where Kane wrecks his wife's suite after she leaves him. There are no photos available of the home online, but property records indicate the main house is 6,993 square feet, with eight full baths, eight bedrooms, two half baths, a sauna, and a home theater. It's almost guaranteed to match the surrounding homes, which heavily feature timber and stone.

Altogether, Gates' garages can accommodate up to 23 cars.

At 66,000 square feet, the home is absolutely massive, and it's loaded to the brim with high-tech details. Before the construction began, Bill gates bought the lot for  $2 million in 1988. He also bought the surrounding structures for extra space and privacy, bringing the total cost to $14.4 million. It features an Art Deco style complete with comfortable armchairs and couches, excellent lighting, and even a popcorn machine for the best experience. With the critical use of trees to cool this mansion, it is imperative to make sure they are well taken care of.

Other known details about the house are that it was divided into pavilions that were terraced into a 50m hill and that it was designed by the architects James Cutler and Peter Bohlin. Bohlin's firm later designed the famous Apple cube at the company's store on Fifth Avenue in New York. Reflecting its grandeur, the property’s 2009 taxes were reported at over $1 million, based on an assessed value of $147.5 million. The library in the mansion, with its domed ceiling and central oculus, offers a peaceful reading sanctuary, blending traditional design with the treasure of Leonardo da Vinci’s 16th-century Codex Leicester. The estate is a tech enthusiast’s dream, boasting a state-wide server system and unparalleled security measures to ensure privacy and comfort. Many can only aspire to own a home like Xanadu 2.0, but Melinda seemed to prefer the simpler pleasures of a cosier home instead of this palace.

Of course, the house is decked out in smart-home technology adjust lighting and other settings. Gates purchased the lot in 1988 and it took hundreds of workers seven years to build the house, according to The Street. Architects James Cutler and Peter Bohlin designed the house in a Pacific Northwest lodge style with half a million board feet of lumber used. The construction work also included moving a preexisting house off the lot with a barge, and then fixing a runoff problem by building an artificial stream, as U.S.

It is a 2,300 square-foot hall with a sitting capacity of 150 people and, if standing, can host 200 guests. For the ultimate dinners and cocktail parties, the hall features a 6-foot-wide limestone fireplace on one wall and a 22-foot-wide video screen on another. The 48,000-square-foot mansion boasts 7 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 20-person home cinema, and a 60-foot swimming pool with an underwater sound system and a glass wall. Apart from other exercise facilities such as the swimming pools, the house has a 25,000-square-foot gym that includes a large trampoline room with a 20-feet ceiling.

According to US News, the 1,900-square-foot guest house was the first building to be completed on the property. The house — which has its own bedroom and bathroom — was meant to be a test of the technology that would eventually be used in the main house. The one-bedroom and one-bath 1,900-square-foot smart guest house located within the complex was the first structure to be completed. The builders used it to test whether the technology currently in the main house would work, and it was successful. Additionally, the house features a square foot dining room that can host 24 people. All told, the property includes seven bedrooms, 24 bathrooms (including 10 full baths), six kitchens, and six fireplaces.

Gates is reportedly the No. 42 largest landowner in the country.

No word on how big the trampoline is, but we can imagine it would be a fun alternative to your standard exercise routine. The exercise facilities total 2,500 square feet and also include a sauna, steam room, and separate men's and women's locker rooms. The Xanadu 2.0 gives fantastic views of Lake Washington and the Medina skyline and boasts 475 ft of the lake's waterfront. Apart from this natural water body, the house also features artificial streams and estuary systems that add to the complex's class. The details of the waterfront compound have been kept incredibly private by the Gates family – so much so that a tour of the property went for $35,000 at a charity auction in 2009, according to TechCrunch. The Gates own multiple other parcels of land surrounding the main property, according to public records, so walking by to catch a glimpse is out of the question.

The home features six kitchens, a steam room, a sauna, and a 25,000-square-foot gym, underscoring the estate’s opulence. The walls of Xanadu 2.0 serve as a digital canvas, showcasing an array of photographs, paintings, and high-end art, reflecting Gates’ interest in both technology and arts. The estate boasts a hillside garage ingeniously integrated into the landscape, designed to comfortably hold 20 cars.

Gates wrote much of "The Road Ahead," his 1995 nonfiction book on the future of tech, at this guest house. The house was built with 500-year-old Douglas fir trees, and 300 construction workers labored on the home — 100 of whom were electricians. With a net worth of $95.3 billion, Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates is the second-richest man in America, behind fellow Washington resident Jeff Bezos. The lakefront shore contains sand that's delivered in large quantities by a barge from St. Lucia each year. As part of the Microsoft auctions that harvest proceeds for the company's charity projects, a Microsoft employee once bid $ to win a private tour of the house. With all the features of this house and the fact that it belongs to one of the smartest and rich people globally, it needed the best workers.

According to the listing, the property boasts a "spectacular" and "awe-inspiring 180-degree Lake Washington, Seattle skyline and Olympic mtn views". RE/MAX's listing showed a "pending" status for the "mid-century modern" home. While the amount that the property ultimately went for is unknown, the outlet reported that it was originally put up for sale on March 29 with an asking price of nearly $4.989 million. The goal of GCU’s instructional design degree online and on campus in the evenings is to optimize the learning process and improve student outcomes by applying theories, principles and methods to the design of instructional materials and activities. This master’s degree in instructional design online, as well as on campus in the evening, is designed for teachers who already hold licensure. While this program includes practicum/field experience, the program does not include a student teaching experience and is not intended to lead to licensure.

This course prepares future Instructional Design professionals to advocate for the use of a systematic approach to meeting organizational learning needs. Students explore the instructional design life cycle through the ADDIE model, culminating in a design document that guides a training intervention. Specifically, students learn to write measurable objectives and instructionally aligned, meaningful assessments. Students will acquire not only specialized foundational and theoretical knowledge of the field, but also hone relevant, industry-accepted skills while making connections with current practitioners.

GCU's non-traditional tuition rates are for students who are interested in pursuing an online degree program or taking evening classes. Speak with your university counselor to learn more about your opportunities for scholarships off tuition through GCU's educational alliances or to find out about options for continuing education for teachers. As part of the Master's degree, students complete a research paper and create a digital instructional product. This requirement is completed during the final semester of the program in IDT 550 and IDT 597. Since the culminating research project and practicum are essential program components, it should reflect each student’s overall professional goals and learning goals.

Whether they’re consulting with school representatives or implementing new technologies into current curriculums, instructional designers use well-defined skill sets to help schools thrive. MicroMasters programs are a series of graduate-level courses from top universities designed to advance your career. MicroMasters program certificates showcase deep learning and in-demand skills to employers and can help you get started on a path toward completing an advanced degree. Although critically important to both people and nature, our freshwater resources are at increased risk. Through 2019, the U.S. wetlands loss rate increased 50 percent over the prior decade. Supreme Court's Sackett decision last year, which dramatically reduced federal protections for wetlands in one of the largest judicial rollbacks of environmental protections in U.S. history. Despite this, Congressional Republicans are continuing a decades-long effort to undermine Clean Water Act safeguards.

And yet, our intimate relationships and search for true love are, in reality, a quest for wholeness that offers us a unique opportunity for deep spiritual growth and inner transformation. Learn profound insights, as well as practical tools and techniques, to show you how to open your heart, spiritualize your partnerships, and magnetize the highest love that is yours to have. The Summit Lighthouse of Los Angeles is the place where new-age spiritual seekers and mystics at heart meet to learn Ascended Masters' Teachings, practice the Science of the Spoken Word, balance personal and planetary karma and find spiritual support among like-minded individuals, and more. It is the spirit of God individualized for each one of us and it is surrounded by seven concentric spheres of pulsating spiritual energy that contain the record of all our good works. These allocations align with recommendations from Tribal leaders, prioritizing projects that have progressed through planning phases and can seamlessly transition into the design and construction stages. The commitment to securing adequate funding for planning and design activities remains paramount.

Mark and Elizabeth Prophet trained rigorously for many lifetimes to prepare for this mission and have left a legacy of thousands of hours of teachings of the ascended masters for the spiritual aspirant. The messengers' role is to help the spiritual seekers make contact with their Real Self, also called Higher Self or the Holy Christ Self. The title “archangel” was given to those who became masters of their worlds “as Above, so below” and that of “archeia” to their feminine complements. Every master in heaven has already merged with the Spirit of the I AM Presence. By proving the laws of God, the masters demonstrate that we, too, can attain immortality. All that we are is not lost at the moment of death but is perpetuated by the action of that light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

The MOU allows the Bureau of Reclamation to seamlessly provide technical support for this and future projects. Up next is a session on business and philanthropic leaders uniting to build prosperity, with speakers Maritza Martinez-Guerrero of the Orlando Magic, Jonathan Romine of Collaboratory and Jim Miller of Maximus. When available, The Summit, Beverly Hills neighborhood information will be included along with similar homes for sale within the zip code. When we come into the knowledge of the ascended masters, we come into an awareness of defining the Path.

They come bearing rainbow hues of joy, beauty and delight, portending the advent of the Christ in every man. Their love and unfailing direction is a clarion call that integrates the lower and the Higher Self in unity of purpose, plan and action. Their assignment was to infuse men and elementals with those qualities that are necessary in planning and executing the will of God upon earth that would unite men and elementals in service to their Creator and in love to one another. Between the sphere of light above and the soul evolving below is the consciousness of the Mediator. The mediator is that portion of the Self that can translate to the imperfect soul something of the perfection of the I AM THAT I AM. It is that portion of our being that is real enough to stand in the holy Presence of God.

The talks, previously scheduled for May 9, would be the first White House meeting between the two leaders, who last met on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Lithuania in July. When you use decrees, you are in effect commanding the flow of energy from Spirit to matter. The greatest revolutionaries—revolutionaries of the spirit—saw prayer, especially spoken prayer, as one of the chief instruments of change. Saints and adepts of East and West have long used the violet flame to accelerate their spiritual development, but this once-secret  knowledge was not revealed to the masses until the twentieth century.

The Administration is also continuing to deliver on President Biden's goal to replace every lead pipe in America in the next decade. In a significant stride towards ensuring essential water and sanitation infrastructure throughout Indian Country, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Indian Health Service (IHS) announced $700 million in funding allocation from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and a newly signed memorandum of understanding with the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) at the first-ever White House Clean Water Summit today. This collaboration further supports President Biden’s Executive Order which directs federal agencies to work together to remove barriers and streamline Tribal access to resources.

Enlightened spiritual beings who once lived on earth, fulfilled their reason for being and have ascended and reunited with God in the ritual of the ascension. They direct the spiritual evolution of all devotees of God and guide them back to their Source. These masters teach us the path of overcoming victory whereby the soul can reunite with the Higher Self, walk the earth with self-mastery following in the footsteps of Jesus as a Christed one and return to the heaven-world at the conclusion of a lifetime of service. The soul bathed in violet flame is depicted in the Chart of the Presence around us. The upper figure, in the chart of the I AM Presence, is a sphere of light called the “I AM Presence.” To Hindus, it is Brahma. Buddhists call it the Dharmakaya, while Christians think of it as God the Father.

Houses for sale in The Summit command a much higher price than the Los Angeles County average. The housing stock consists of entirely of single family homes ranging from luxury homes (under 5,000 square feet) to mansions (over 5,000 square feet). A few mega mansions (over 20,000 square feet) and compounds dot the neighborhood. The Violet Flame is an invisible spiritual energy, the seventh ray of the Holy Spirit, that appears violet to those who have developed their spiritual vision. Regardless of their color, all of the flames have a white-fire core of purity, which embodies all of the attributes of God and which may be invoked by those who desire to expand the Christ consciousness. These angelic messengers carry the magnitude of the divine potential to the farthest reaches of cosmos and consciousness.

25 Epic Modern Cabins for Design Inspiration 2023

cabin interior design ideas

Opting for a cozy row cabin can be a great way to make sure that friends and family stay close while also giving everyone their own space. You can individualize each small residence while making sure that they all match by choosing a single design and painting them various complementary colors. The straightforward design of this light wood-paneled small cabin — which may win you over with its simple shape and practical aspects — might make it rather easy to build. However, it's almost like a blank canvas, meaning that any additions would personalize it in ways that would make it a place that's truly yours.

Cabin Decor Ideas for a Cozy, Homey Design

You may want to look at some early pioneer log homes pictures for inspiration. Therefore, iron balustrades can be a stylish contrast for light wood and warm colors, accenting the solidity and durability of your log construction. If you aim to build a log cabin on a piece of land, and your land does not come with building permissions, you will need to apply. You will also need to get your cabin plans approved to ensure they meet safety regulations. The lived-in nature of antique pieces make them a natural fit for cabin decor. Just because your home doesn't have a traditional cabin structure doesn't mean you can't make it feel that way inside.

Bring Your Rustic Decor Ideas to Life at Baird Brothers

Cabins celebrate nature, and what better vantage point from which to take in the great outdoors than a soaking tub filled to the brim with bubbles? (Especially if it follows a long day on the hiking, biking, or skiing trail). Overall, leather and antlers are a pretty easy cabin look to pull off, but you might want to go with faux décor if you don’t want to have any animal parts in the cabin. However, it is worth noting that using repurposed things often requires quite a bit of work, so while you might be saving some money, you’re going to pay for it with your time! Finally, it can also be challenging to create an elegant repurposed home without making it feel like a hand-me-down home.

Natural Color Palette

Well if you've got a TV you've got a fire – Netflix even has a load of options to bring a 'fireplace' into your home. We like how in this new build log cabin they have taken it even further and surrounded their  'fire' with log effect fabric. While neutrals complement the wood’s natural palette, a splash of bold color adds personality. It’s the unexpected jolts of color against the wood paneling that truly make a space sing. As we already pointed out, when it comes to country cabin decorating, kitchens and dining rooms are given as much attention as all other parts of your home.

Luxe Rustic Bathroom

This small cabin may use traditional Swedish shades, but it would suit pretty much any natural setting. Another design that might take some extra planning before building, this tiny cabin looks like somewhere magical elves might live. The curvy shape, metal pipe chimney, large shingled and wonderfully peaked roof, and layered rough wood paneling make this the perfect place to pretend like you've escaped into a fantasy world.

Scandinavian-Inspired Log Cabin Interior Design

This tiny cabin couldn't be cuter thanks to the pops of coordinated color and floral accents. However, this design also features an awesome eco-friendly green roof that's covered with moss and other plants. Launched in 2018, the Vancouver Island-based company Aux Box makes prefab units and tiny, tiny houses for extra space or full-time dwelling. Their durable construction is designed to withstand harsh Canadian weather, while the simple, cube structure and interior provides the perfect blank space to embrace your inner designer.

Incorporate Black Accents

From the rustic cabin interior to a modern cabin interior, cabin décor ideas abound. A key aspect of a modern cabin interior design is its environment. Most importantly, the interior needs to draw from the natural surroundings to create a cohesive and relaxing home.

Accessorize Your Porch Swing

In most of the cases, log cabins’ exterior is made of wooden logs with recognizable texture and rounded panels. The log cabin interior wall, on the other hand, doesn’t have to be wooden. You can use any cover you like, as long as you try to make it look authentic. If you're after a soothing, zen-like space, take a minimalist approach to cabin decorating.

Original Cottage & Cabin Interior Design Ideas (With Pictures)

It can create a convenient landing space for comings and goings, or simply sit there looking pretty, inviting passersby to wonder what else you have going on inside. However, outside, the full-length porch is massive and is just the right thing if you like to sit around chatting with your friends and family while enjoying nature. It also gives the impression that the cabin is much bigger than it really is. This A-frame cabin uses cedar wood shingles to create an eye-catching exterior. While that's certainly stylish enough, this design also embraces what windows can do for a small cabin — both inside and out — by filling almost the entire front wall with glass.

By creating foundations for your log cabin, you will provide a solid base to bear the weight of your cabin. Building foundations will protect your cabin from soil erosion, where soil naturally subsides over time. It will also protect your cabin from soil which gives way under the weight of your cabin. Cabin decor tends to skew dim and cozy, but there's no hard-and-fast rule that is has to be.

If you want more cabin touches, add a wooden feature like a clad wall, exposed beams, or carved artwork. Thanks to contemporary design, your choices go beyond branch chandeliers and elaborate candelabras. Contemporary cabin interior ideas have gone beyond beloved favorites, and the result is extraordinary. Plump sofas, warm woods, and low light certainly still have their place in every cozy retreat, but so do polished accessories and sleek furniture. Moreover, the most breathtaking homes have just as much rustic charm as sophistication. A good backsplash is a great way to add personality and character to a rustic kitchen.

By transforming negative thoughts and feelings, the violet flame provides a platform for our healing, erases records of the past, transmutes personal and planetary karma, releases doubt and fear, unlocks potential and expands one's inner spiritual guidance. It is a regulating energy that keeps you in a point of self-regeneration and rejuvenation. Every relationship has its challenges — whether we find ourselves with our soul mate, twin flame, or a karmic partner.

Around the violet flame is the protective white light of God known as the tube of light. We apply the science of the spoken Word to call forth that tube of light as a protection, sealing our aura, sealing our chakras from the heavy weight of darkness that is upon the planet. A pilot project under this agreement has been identified with the Yakama Nation in Washington State. After an IHS engineering investigation confirmed high levels of arsenic in the water system of the small community of Georgeville, the Yakama Nation and IHS agreed to construct a treatment system to remove arsenic from the water supply using Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding.

In addition, IHS and BOR are announcing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two agencies to leverage BOR's engineering capacity to accelerate the delivery of Tribal water projects. Throughout Earth Week, the Biden-Harris Administration will announce additional actions to build a stronger, healthier future for all. On Monday, President Biden announced the launch of ClimateCorps.gov as well as $7 billion in awards through EPA's Solar for All program.

President Biden and Vice President Harris believe that every person should have access to clean drinking water and a healthy environment. Since Day One, the Biden-Harris Administration has worked to secure clean water for all, protect our vital freshwater resources, and ensure every community can count on water free of pollutants when they turn on the faucet. The Administration also recognizes that wetlands and other freshwater resources are critical in our fight against climate change. To bring safe, clean water to Tribal communities, the Department of Health and Human Services' Indian Health Services (IHS) and the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) are announcing over $1 billion from the President's Investing in America agenda and a new partnership. Roughly half of Tribal households lack access to clean drinking water or adequate sanitation. Today's announcement includes $700 million from IHS and $320 million from BOR to accelerate the delivery of drinking water and community sanitation infrastructure projects in Indian Country.

Department of Health and Human Services, provides a comprehensive health service delivery system for approximately 2.8 million American Indians and Alaska Natives who belong to 574 federally recognized Tribes in 37 states. In FY 2024, the IHS will allocate approximately $653.4 million to support project construction, of which $613.8 million is FY 2024 BIL funding and $39.6 million is FY 2024 enacted appropriations, which includes Congressionally Directed Spending projects. When combined, the FY 2024 BIL funding and annual appropriations will enable IHS to fully fund construction costs for 91 projects. In the third session is a panel discussion on how local leaders in Broward County are making an impact, moderated by Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Executive Vice President Ron Drew with leaders from the local community. Renner first gaveled in during an organization session in late 2022, laying out a bold agenda promoting economic strength “full of prosperity, abundant with opportunity and rich in quality of life,” Renner said at the time.

The path back to the Source can be walked over seven rays of the Christ consciousness that emerge from the white light. It is our opportunity to become one with our Higher Self, whether we call it the Christ, the Buddha, the Tao or the Atman. It is the potential of our Divinity waiting to burst into being within our humanity. The threefold flame, or divine spark, is the seed of the divine within our heart chakra and the seed of the Inner Christ and the Inner Buddha. It is our personal focus of the sacred fire, our opportunity to become one with our Higher Self, whether we call it the Christ, the Buddha, the Tao or the Atman. Above all, the Summit House is famous for the amazing flavors and incredible food presentations created by Executive Chef Timothy Plumb’s culinary team.

By increasing immediate support staff for the sanitation programs at IHS, the partnership will cultivate a talent pool that reflects the diversity and skills needed to address public health needs and improve wellbeing within American Indian and Alaska Native communities. It will also fortify a commitment to improve essential infrastructure, advance health equity and increase opportunities for communities to thrive. The purpose of this collaboration is to accelerate completion of Tribal facilities in communities that do not have reliable access to a domestic water supplies, and to promote resources available to Tribes, including through the BOR’s Tribal Domestic Water Supplies Program. Many states are already using their own authorities and resources to better protect America's freshwater systems.

The threefold flame embodies the same qualities that manifest in the hearts of the Almighty, of our I AM Presence, and of our Higher Self. Located on a gated street just above Hollywood & Vine, the house is centrally located with easy access to 101 Freeway.

For example, North Carolina recently set a goal to protect one million acres of natural lands, with a special focus on wetlands, and to restore one million acres of forests and wetlands within the state. New York state recently enacted statutory changes to its Freshwater Wetlands Act that will safeguard an additional million acres of valuable wetlands. And Washington recently protected almost 1,000 miles of rivers as Outstanding National Resource Waters, one of the highest levels of protection afforded to our freshwater resources. The outcome of this funding is substantial – more than 36,000 American Indian and Alaska Native households will benefit by gaining access to essential services. Notably, improved sanitation facilities can reduce inpatient and outpatient visits related to respiratory, skin and soft tissue, and gastroenteric disease.

Together IHS and the USPHS Commissioned Corps, developed a seven-year strategic plan to improve recruitment and retention of Public Health Service officers with expertise in engineering, environmental health, and health services. This historic partnership between IHS and BOR will support strategic collaboration to accelerate completion of Tribal facilities and more effectively promote awareness and access to resources available to Tribes. As part of the initial actions under the historic partnership between IHS and BOR, IHS launched an interactive website in April 2023 to furnish insights into projects funded through the BIL. This dynamic platform will continue to offer updated information, encompassing project-funding amounts, Tribes served, homes impacted, and project statuses. Projects funded through FY 2024 BIL and the FY 2024 enacted appropriations will be included after the funds are transferred to the IHS Areas.

My current setup needs both a dedicated controller and an iPhone connection to fly.

An Architect's DIY Kitchen Makeover

What I discovered as I blurred the boundary has made the past ten years feel more like play than work. Work life integration is a privilege; I couldn’t imagine practice any other way. Instead of making major changes every January, I keep the word Kaizen at the top of my Notion dashboard and it’s become a guiding principle for the business. Think of all the small improvements you can make each week and implement a daily routine for checking them off your list. For those contemplating the cost equation, you'll find that renting a 30x40 tent can often rival the price of purchasing a custom tent. This flexibility allows our clients to weigh their options and decide the best route for their specific needs.

The lower shelves delivered, they were functional and accessible, but the upper shelves disappointed. Our range hood was chosen for price and esthetics - in that order - over brand recognition (ahem, Eurohoods?) It made a lot of noise but that was about it. Cooking grease settled on the upper reaches ensuring the dishes we used less frequently needed washing before every use.

This ability to blend the reclaimed with refined, the ordinary with ornamental, has attracted a loyal following of clients who love her chic and livable style. Romanek Design Studio was founded by Brigette Romanek, one of the top interior designers in LA. Presenting fresh, exciting design concepts for the most discerning clients. Stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyoncé, Demi Moore, and Joe Jonas, just to name a few. Before I head out, I always have an organized plan for the visit because the job site can be a busy place and this ensures I don’t forget anything while I’m out there. Each includes a list of everything I need to bring and remember to do while I’m there.

The accomplished artist, architect, and interior designer, Rodrigo Vargas founded RVD in 2009. Today a thriving international, full-service interior design firm with a diverse and talented team. RVD creates award-winning design concepts for Five-Star luxury hotels and resorts, multifamily real estate projects, restaurants, and high-end residential projects worldwide.

As principal of his eponymous firm, Ryan has a gift for translating luxury into exquisitely designed spaces. Studying adjacent disciplines has always yielded new perspectives and inspiration for my own creative work so I jumped at the chance to serve as a juror for this year's APA Architectural Photography Competition. My Studio “shed” is featured alongside dozens of others in a new book, “Work from Shed” by Hoxton Mini Press (2022, 250p). It’s an inspiring, beautifully curated collection of inventive solutions and repurposing of the humble garden shed (it’s also a carbon neutral book). As we look at the floor plan there are natural places that might be more like the forest, more sheltering, darker, and lower in scale. And then there are the main living spaces which are larger, brighter with taller ceilings and sweeping views.

The building is comprised of three volumes, supported by a heavy timber frame, and set upon a terraced ground plane that closely follows the existing topography. Linking the volumes, the circulation path is highlighted by large cuts in the skin of the building. These cuts are infilled with a wood framed curtainwall of glass offset from the syncopated structural grid. Orienting the sheds on an east-west axis provided us with a large south flank to gather daylight.

My iPhone is set to immediately alert me when I wander too far from the bag, or someone walks off with it. It comes with a hefty price tag ($150) though, so you may want to mark it as your own. I made a little velcro-backed nameplate which I cut out of a scrap piece of zinc and mounted a custom sticker to for mine (see the video for details). Photos and video are an invaluable resource and I’ll often refer back to them as I’m writing my field report, or reviewing payment requisitions to verify the stage of completion of the work.

I find using a camera improves my visual acuity, it sees things in a way I’m not able. We're based in Los Angeles County, a bustling hub for events ranging from small-scale community gatherings to grand festivals and corporate events. Given our strategic location, we've had the privilege of supplying these 30x40 tents for diverse functions.

Housewarming Gifts: Top Home Gift Ideas 2024

house warming gift ideas

Plus, now that we’ve experienced 2020 together and have arrived at the dawn of a new era, having an emergency kit on hand doesn’t seem too weird, does it? It actually makes an excellent housewarming gift that the recipients will genuinely appreciate. 2021, to Mary’s Kitchen Goods, this bamboo wood cutting board will be used and treasured for many years. Sophisticated and yet practical, we love everything from the size to the color options.

The Pioneer Woman 5-Piece Prep Set

But this set is not flimsy, and it folds nicely for storing or taking along. These Maui pineapples are the sweetest and juiciest ones we’ve ever tasted. But the price makes them special-occasion-only indulgences, so they make a great housewarming gift. Whether a new homeowner is calling their people in from the back 40 or from the home office, this Old West–style dinner bell is truly effective. It’s from Lodge, maker of our favorite cast-iron skillet, and it’s outfitted with a striker and a leather hanging strap.

Contemporary Address Sign Plaque

Whether they just got hitched, are moving in together, or simply switched humble homes, celebrate the happy duo’s new residence with these housewarming gifts for couples. This custom digital illustration arrives in your inbox, ready to frame and ready to gift. Simply share a photo with the seller, and you'll have a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork featuring a beloved pet. For a housewarming gift they’ll use often, these picks are prepared for daily duty.

Wine Gift Set

But the last thing anyone who’s just packed (and unpacked) all of their earthly possessions needs is stuff for stuff’s sake. Both the makeup and the messaging were consistent for Kardashian, who has used her platform and influence to push for criminal justice reform since 2018. Dress up that Veuve Clicquot or go-to bottle of wine with a marble chilling sleeve that can also be a case or planter when not in party mode. Get that gallery wall started with a sentimental framed photo of a shared moment, beloved pet, or favorite place. Ensure that your friends never have to write out their return address again with a handmade, self-inking, custom rubber calligraphy stamp.

The Bose Portable Smart Speaker doesn’t come cheap, but it’s our favorite Bluetooth speaker on the market. If your recipient always has music playing in the background, this top option—which has a 12-hour battery life and adjustable treble and bass—is worth every penny. Not only can it fit four bottles of wine or 12 canned beverages (as well as snacks, sandwiches and salads), but its insulated PVC material keeps everything cool for hours.

Between the throwback design, the monochromatic coloring, and the fact that it’s actually an FM radio as well as a Bluetooth speaker, there’s a lot to love. We learned about this wooden spoon and spatula set from Dan Pelosi (AKA, @grossypelosi) and we’re glad we did. These utensils are lightweight, made from bamboo, and super fun too. Anthropologie’s Capri Blue candle has a cult following, and it’s because this candle truly does smell amazing. Don’t worry about being cliché by giving this gift to your host — it’s popular for a reason.

New New Home, New Memories Stone Coaster Set

Personalized items, like this wood sign bearing their name, make great housewarming gifts for a family moving into a new home. Made using a wood pallet, it looks as if individual planks have been put together haphazardly (yet stylishly) and the personalization is printed directly on the wood. This cutting board combines the traditional gift of bread, salt and wine with wood, another traditional gift for a housewarming party. Most practical housewarming gifts don’t require reading, but the recipient of this one book will overlook it when they see how useful it really is. This battery-operated motion lamp is perfect for illuminating those dark areas that take time getting used to, staying on for about 30 seconds in the motion sensing setting.

Useful housewarming gifts are much appreciated, especially if this is someone’s first home, as they will be needing (and wanting) a lot of items. If you can get them something they don’t know they need, even better! A kitchen needs utensils and your own experience may reveal a particularly useful item for their home. Some traditions can truly be relied on, and though they may seem generic, traditional housewarming gifts really do make great gifts. All-natural, toxin free and antibacterial, it’s a perfect housewarming gift for an apartment or home that has young children. Useful and stunning, first time apartment dwellers and homeowners will love this great housewarming gift.

When should you give housewarming gifts?

If the new homeowners love plants, then some macramé hanging planters might be the perfect things they need to give their plants a nice living area. For daily use and get-togethers, salad serving sets make things much easier for the cook. From wooden to porcelain sets, you can usually find one that fits the new homeowners style. For foodies that love cooking outdoors or inside, a cookbook is always something to be appreciated. From vegetarian to keto, there are plenty of cookbooks that can suit many tastes, and the right one might result in more dinner invites. While we're talking about things outside the home, why not go with decorative house numbers?

If your recipient loves to have friends over for drinks (or they’re big tennis fans), this set of embroidered linen cocktail napkins can bring a bit of humor to happy hour at home. Just note that they should be hand washed after each use to prevent shrinkage or damage. A custom return address stamp is a great, thoughtful way to celebrate a friend or family member’s new home. While the cable knit and sherpa lining scream warmth and comfort, it doesn’t sacrifice any design points, making it a perfect housewarming gift for those with a penchant for interior design.

Shop everything from handmade kitchenware to custom family portraits to celebrate the big move. An elegant tablecloth can elevate a simple meal into a special occasion, and it will likely inspire your loved one to fill their new home with friends. Rough Linen’s Smooth Linen Table Cloth is among the best we found in our testing (and, contrary to the company’s name, it is ridiculously soft). Made from 100% Belgian linen, this table cloth is machine-washable and resistant to puckers and wrinkles (though it’s easy to steam or iron). Many new-home dwellers may already own a set of neutral linens, but Rough Linen’s offerings come in a range of subtle colors that could be perfect for a holiday party or a festive taco night. We also love the rougher Orkney Linen Tablecloth, for a more-relaxed vibe.

For some, a weighted blanket can simulate the coziness and comfort of a warm hug from a loved one or, at the very least, encourage rest and sleep. The Bearaby Cotton Napper—the most beautiful and least institutional-feeling option we tested for our guide to weighted blankets—is as natty and comfortable as a chic, oversize sweater. The blanket’s chunky cotton yarn—knit loose and loopy—is warm but doesn’t overheat. And the Napper comes in five colors, so you’re sure to find a hue to suit the recipient’s new home.

It's hard to imagine a design aesthetic that this minimalist lamp would clash with. Available in plain white or a few fun colors, it offers a warm, subtle light that any room could use more of. The perfect gift for anyone who loves heat (or just a whole lot of flavor), this five-piece set features multiple chili crisps and sauces, as well as an 11-ingredient spice mix. Fuel those late-night unpacking sessions with a selection of whole-bean coffee from around the world. Simply select the grind size, from whole bean to espresso to cold brew, and this small shop will hand select a sampler set to keep your friends amped ‘til the final box is broken down. It’s the first thing guests see when they arrive at the doorstep, and it’s the last thing they see before they leave.
